Students Feeding Families is set to kickoff the week of September 9 as part of national Hunger Action Month. This important initiative, a collaboration between Feeding Indiana's Hungry and key education associations, is a statewide service learning opportunity to engage Indiana high school students in the meaningful work of ensuring no family experiences hunger this school year. During the week of September 9, we invite you to encourage Indiana high school students to volunteer as a service learning project at their local food pantry or regional food bank. By spending just a few hours volunteering their time, students can make an enormous difference for local food banks and the families they serve. Every action counts! Special thanks to Emily Weikert Bryant and her team at Feeding Indiana's Hungry for exceptional efforts in launching the campaign. The following education organizations have joined ISBA and Feeding Indiana’s Hungry in support of the cause to end hunger: Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents, Indiana School Counselor Association, Indiana Urban Schools Association, Indiana School Public Relations Association, Indiana Association of School Principals, Our Public Schools Work, and the Indiana Association of Public Education Foundations.
