December 10, 2025 – The Indiana School Boards Association (ISBA) is pleased to announce a collaborative partnership with SuperEval, an online platform that transforms superintendent and education leader evaluation into a reflective, growth-oriented experience. As part of this new collaboration, SuperEval has integrated the ISBA and Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents (IAPSS) Superintendent Evaluation Benchmarks and Indicators into its digital platform. This alignment enables Indiana school boards using SuperEval to conduct evaluations that are efficient and consistent with local expectations and governance needs. “ISBA is committed to supporting school boards in their work to govern with vision, clarity, and excellence,” said Terry Spradlin, Executive Director of the Indiana School Boards Association. “This collaboration with SuperEval introduces school boards to an enhanced evaluation process that strengthens communication, supports continuous growth, and promotes effective leadership.” To support this effort, SuperEval is inviting interested school corporations to participate in an Indiana pilot program during the spring semester of this school year. Selected locations will receive a significant pricing discount as early adopters and will be among the first in the state to use the ISBA and IAPSS evaluation instrument through the SuperEval platform. “We are honored to collaborate with ISBA and support its long-standing mission of empowering Indiana school boards,” said Dr. Michael Horning, Jr., Group President and Chief Innovation Officer of SuperEval. “The Superintendent Evaluation Benchmarks and Indicators developed by ISBA and IAPSS are thoughtful, well-constructed, and aligned to effective leadership practice. We are excited to help school corporations explore these benchmarks within a modern digital and researched-based environment that encourages reflection and continuous improvement.” With its intuitive design, SuperEval makes customization simple, giving school boards the flexibility to easily adjust evaluation metrics and weights to fit local priorities. “The ISBA and IAPSS evaluation benchmarks provide school boards with clarity, structure, and a strong foundation for meaningful superintendent evaluations,” said Steve Horton, Director of Board Services, Indiana School Boards Association. “Introducing these benchmarks through the SuperEval platform will help boards better understand their leadership expectations and engage in productive, reflective conversations with their superintendents.” SuperEval will work closely with ISBA to support school boards and superintendents who elect to participate in the pilot program. “We are excited to support Indiana school boards and superintendents as they explore a modern and reflective approach to superintendent evaluations,” said Gretchen Restino, Strategic Partnership Executive at SuperEval. “The SuperEval platform offers a research-based methodology that encourages thoughtful reflection, goal setting, and continuous improvement. We look forward to working with the education leaders who participate in this important pilot initiative.” ### For more information about the pilot program or this collaborative partnership, please contact: Steve Horton Director of Board Services, ISBA shorton@isba-ind.org Gretchen Restino Strategic Partnership Executive, SuperEval grestino@supereval.com About the Indiana School Boards Association (ISBA) The Indiana School Boards Association empowers school boards with the resources and support needed for highly effective governance, advocacy, and leadership development in support of exceptional K–12 student learning.
